After deciding that I wanted a moderately priced ($500 to $900) printer with archival quality pigment-based inks, I compared the Canon Pro9500 with the Epson R2400 & HP B9180. The print quality of all 3 is spectacular - but so close really, I had to look to other factors to make a decision. I finally settled on the Canon - 1st, because of operating costs: since the pigmented inks are expensive...
